Class of 1983/84

Many years ago, between the years 1983 and 1984, a class of children were born to individual mothers in a number of towns in and around the city of London, England. These boys shared each others joys, sadness, playtime, bullying, teacher-picking-ons and simchas all the way from Auntie Hellen in kindergarten up until today where they find themselves in all four corners of the world. This new resource is an effort to maintain and enhance a wonderful and unique bond that exists among them.

Hi

How have you all been... im in Brisbane and im just checking in to say "HELLO”?

Life here has been interesting, we arrived here some days before Pesach and immediately set to work delivering matzos to members of the Jewish community, it was mendy driving and Yitzchak reading the map...

That night being yud aleph Nissan a farbrengen was in order...so the farbrengen happened, we sang and said lechaim with a wonderful group of locals.

After that we started work on preparing for the Seder... we had to kosher the kitchen and cook the for the Seder, we were expecting 60 people the first night and 20 the second (based on the figures of previous years)... in the nick of time a group of "just out the army Israeli back packers" showed up and helped lot with that.

The Sedarim were wonderful, with the second night going for over five hours and of course in traditional Loewenthal fashion ending with "Chad gadya" with sound effects (and crowd participation)

Just recently my parents were in Melbourne giving papers... so I decided to copy them and prepared some thing for a yom limud a leaning program for the community , we called it "halachic development" looking at how a halachah evolved from the words of the torah going trough the Mishnah and gemarah and rishonim (rambam) and acharonim (shulchan aruch)…

Nice to speak to you old fellows.

Nice blogg
