This morning Reb Shneur Zalman Slonim was to found to have passed away in his apartment in East London. Mr Slonim did not turn up to shuel for shacharis for a couple of days, so some mebers of the community in Stamford Hill went to investigate.

Mr Slonim was never married, a passed without any children or relatives. I have only known him for several months now, but I had nice little relationship with him. He used to be active in the stock exchange, and would offer me advice from time to time on which companies he thought I should invest in. A really sweet and pleasent guy who woll surely miss.

Anash of Stamford Hill are still not sure when exactly to make his Yor Tzeit, as the exact day he passed away is not clear. He passed away at the age of 81.
