Class of 1983/84

Many years ago, between the years 1983 and 1984, a class of children were born to individual mothers in a number of towns in and around the city of London, England. These boys shared each others joys, sadness, playtime, bullying, teacher-picking-ons and simchas all the way from Auntie Hellen in kindergarten up until today where they find themselves in all four corners of the world. This new resource is an effort to maintain and enhance a wonderful and unique bond that exists among them.

It is coming to the end of of the week and I am sure you are looking for dvar torahs to give over to people you know. Therefore I thought it a ppropriate to list a couple to choose from. I also threw in a couple of interesting posts and news that I came across.

At Chabad.org you will find dvar torahs including:

  • "The Phenomenon of the “Half”" a thought for the week by Yitschak Meir Kagan.
  • "Including Everyone" and "Repairing the Damage" for Friday night by Tali Loewenthal.
  • "Where is Life's “Undo” Function?" and "What's So Terrible about Idolatry?" under "Heaven Exposed" by Tzvi Freeman.
  • "Heresy Cloaked in Piety" and "Picking Up the Pieces" of Weekly Sermonette by Yossy Goldman.
  • "Grandma's Worries" in Parsha Moments by Shimon Posner.
  • And many others...

  • Other miscellaneous dvar torahs:

  • Parashas Parah from Singapore Outreach.

  • Some other posts and news that may interest you:

  • Celebrating Purim in Chadera, with Gabi Spitzer in one of the pictures (Chabad.info). I am not sure if you are aware, but the spitzers are the second family to moveout on London to Israel in the past six months. The Lawrence family have moved to Asdod.
  • Purim Celebrations in Melbourne #1 and #2 at YG Blogspot. If you look closely you may see Mendy Loewenthal explaining a maamor to someone.

  • And I think I will leave it at that.

    Good Shabbos.
